WOMAN'S STORY

In the blink of an eye everything Laurel Warner (Erin Gray) has built her life on is about to change. As she prepares to defend David Merritt (Gary Conway); an attorney being sued for sexual harassment, she inadvertently discovers that her husband Buckley (Kent McCord) has been cheating on her throughout their thirty-year marriage. Instead of sharing the truth with Laurel, Buckley relays his fantasies and indiscretions to a playwright in search of new material (Marshall Borden). As brutal reality sets in, Laurel is faced with the decision of fighting to save the remnants of her broken life or find the strength to move on. Abandoned by her best friend Shelley (Ann Marie Hall), her husband trying to make excuses for his infidelity and with only her daughter Kimberly (Megan McCord) to rely on, Laurel finds an unexpected friend in David. In the end, Laurel realizes that despite the continuous ups and downs, life always goes on and if she had to do it all over again, she wouldn’t change a thing…
Woman’s Story explores the inner feelings and complexity of a relationship tainted by the changes imposed by today’s society. Erin Gray turns in a stellar award-worthy performance with a portrayal that not only captures reality but offers a glimpse inside of her soul. Kent McCord does a tremendous job bringing emotion to the forefront as he struggles between feelings of guilt and fantasy. Gary Conway’s performance as artist/attorney David Merritt will invoke people to examine their own lives in the pursuit of who they really are. A hauntingly beautiful soundtrack and incredibly picturesque scenery lend themselves to the film’s true artistic beauty. Woman’s Story might make want to laugh, it might make you want to cry but most of all, it will make you wonder if your reality is all it appears to be.
