An update on Lar's condition. For those who don't know, Lar has been battling breast cancer since September, 2008. As you can see, she's doing much better and is on the road to recovery. The message below is also posted on her website, which can be accessed by clicking on the photo to the left of this page.
Dear Friends, Family and Fans,
I stopped blogging way back in December because the cancer treatments were just
too difficult. I couldn't find the humor. My outlook is good again.
I had three surgeries and they were tough, the recovery was hard and the chemo was really rough. I made it through with friends I didn't even know I had, Boy Scout Troop 25 (my son's troop) and family.
My first 4 rounds of chemo just
about did me in. I started the second set of 4 chemo treatments this past
Wednesday and I'm doing ok - better than ok - good. I can eat and get up
and about. My hair has started growing back in and by summer's end, I
should have a high fashion looking pixie haircut!
My prognosis is really great, I had no lymph node involvement, clear margins and
my health is good. I'm smiling, I'm thanking my Lord, I have an open
heart and I thank all of you for your warm and kind wishes.
